tearin' 'er down...

It's official pals... taking down Elly and her lovely flower wall this week...

Very sad news, but something equally lovely in the works for the windows @ G&R. Always dreaming up ways to top the tippiest-top of our projects there!

Can't wait to share pics of the NEWNESS

baby buds...

A little colab project with the gals at Gus & Ruby Letterpress, Kate Parker Designs & Wild Orchid Bakery...

These little buds measure a teeny, tiny 1/2" in diameter and are made from hand cut tissue paper that has been watercolor stained. Each is assembled on quilting pins, so that they can be used to tack up beautiful letterpress printed and hand-calligraphed escort cards...

 Swoonworthy, don't 'cha think?

delayed reaction...

Holy cannoli peeps!
What in the sam-heck happened here?

I haven't blogged since March...
Can that be correct?
Where has the time gone?
Oh right - I moved into a studio space in March...
And made those paper dresses that you still haven't seen...
Oh, and I moved into a new apartment that still doesn't have working internet...
Right... that's what happened...

Oh, and then Gus & Ruby hired new employees, and Laura arrived and I've just been all a-twitter since.
**No, that doesn't mean I've been using my Twitter account. Although, that's another thing I should put on my to-do list. Thanks for the reminder...

I can tell you that lots of lovely has been stewing in my brain over the course of the past month or so.
Lots and lots and lots of it.
And I've been sending project proposals out to all sorts of lovely folks.
And cleaning up my studio for a super productive summer.
There's just SO SO SO much to tell you all!

For tonight, because I still haven't eaten dinns or even gone home to my apartment, I'll leave you with this and tell you that this is a teeny-tiny part of the goodness that I've been dreaming up lately.

on this beautiful wednesday...

Afternoon ladies and gents!

Lots of business going on here at Posy. Truth is, I really wish I was posy-ing out in the sunshine... but I really need a big work surface for all these little white petals I'm a-paintin'!

I know I've shared a handful of lovely little teeny-tiny bits over the course of the past few weeks. Glitter dipped mason jars and now this, yards of hand-painted kraft... You all must be thinking "what's that crazy lady up to now?!"

Truth is, it's a secret.
I promise it'll all be coming together into something Great and Lovely, though! Mark your calendars - April 2nd's the day!!

Hope you are are having a beautiful afternoon,
Happy hump day!

stu-stu-studio

So we chatted a few weeks back about a studio space for me and the Posy, and truth is, there have been major-ly awesome feats made in that department in the time that's elapsed. Great news, right?!

I officially moved into a 2-room studio in 3S Artspace and could not be happier about it. I have unpacked my bolts of fabric and bins of paints and boxes of crayons and sewing machines and scissor collection and loads of vintage mason jars into this big, empty space in the hopes of refocusing my attention on what it is I want to be doing with myself and with Paper Posy Designs. That attention is now devoted, as much as it can be, to creating. To working on incredible projects that I deeply believe in, projects that have breadth and ingenuity and wit and beauty and intricate little details that combine to really make a statement. This road has not necessarily been a quick or easy one, but I think that somewhere amongst the adventurous mess it has been, I have found a direction.

You all may be wondering what that really means though (because with my reputation, direction includes everything from north to south and east to west, in most cases). And I guess that my answer is that Paper Posy Designs is going to continue to drive itself. I have a lot of passion for design and need that to be a part of my life, always. So from here on out - it's 100% about responding to the circumstances presented before me with as much grace as possible. I want my work to be accessible to anyone and everyone, and I want the projects I pursue to be diverse, challenging and executed with clarity. My new studio space is the foundation from which I assume this kind of growth will occur - and I could not feel more lucky to have had everything fall into place as it has.

Many of you have been a significant part of the beginning of this journey, so for all of you, and you know who you are - thank you (forever and flipping always) because without you there would definitely be no me and no Posy ;)

(Well, that's a lie, unless you're my mom... because if she weren't around then there REALLY wouldn't be a me. You get what I'm trying to say though, right?!)

So for now, I'm going to leave you with this:

But know that I'm working on my first big project of the year and will have lots of new footage to share in mid-April!!

Lots of love,
Liz

a little glitter for ya'

Morning sweets,

Have been trying to be more proactive about using my camera lately. You know, to grab more of the little details. It's a struggle for me, but when things turn out sweet and sparkly, I have to say it does make me pretty happy.

Love those little reflections in the corner :)

Hope this inspires you to deck out your ball jars!!

Spread the love...
Because it has a ripple effect, believe you me!

Lots of love to you on this sun-shiney valentines day. Tell someone (or lots of ones) today how much you love them. It is one of the nicest things to hear, don't you think?!
I love you <3
